The person behind the lens
I'm a videographer and photographer in Oxford, MS and Madison, MS. Samuel Long Productions is my video and photo company, and SLP Media is its event photography brand. What started as a hobby back in 2019 turned into the thing I get to now do professionally. From wedding films and senior sessions in Oxford and the Jackson, MS area to sorority and fraternity events at Ole Miss and commercial work across Mississippi, if there's a moment worth keeping, I want to be the one behind the camera.
I've always been fascinated by the technology behind all of this. I'm an FAA-certified drone pilot, and I also work in live broadcasting for the SEC Network as a technical director and replay operator, where one missed detail can cost you the moment. That same attention to detail is what I bring to every shoot.
Big production or a tiny backyard proposal, I treat every shoot like it's my own story to tell. The goal never changes. I want to hand you something you'll actually want to rewatch and share for years.
