Updated September 28, 2026. This page explains what this website collects and why. The short version: I only collect what you choose to send me, and I use it to reply to you.
When you use the contact form, it sends me the details you type in: your name, email, phone number if you add one, the kind of project, the date, your message, and how you heard about me if you choose to say. The form is delivered to my inbox at samuel@samuellongproductions.com through Web3Forms, a form delivery service.
The form also includes a few details about how you found the site: the first page you landed on, the website that sent you (for example Google or Instagram), any campaign tag in the link you followed, and the pages you looked at before writing to me. That helps me understand which pages and channels bring people to me.
I use all of this only to reply to you and plan your project.
This site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal information, to count visits to each page, where visits come from, and a few actions such as starting a film or tapping a contact button. The numbers are only viewed in aggregate. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, these statistics are not recorded for your visit.
The site keeps the "how you found me" details above in your browser's session storage for the current tab, so they can be attached to the form if you write to me. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. This site does not set cookies.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google. Links to Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
I don't sell or rent your information, I don't use advertising trackers, and I don't add you to a mailing list because you sent an inquiry.
If you appear in a photo or film on this site and would like it taken down, email me and I'll remove it.
