How many photographers does a date party need?
At least two. Date parties are dark and packed, so my SLP Media team brings two photographers and splits the room. Two photographers cover three hours at one venue for up to 500 guests, and past 500 guests the full team brings four.
What do you shoot?
The posed pictures everyone asks for and the candids: couples and friend groups, the details the social chair spent all week on and the dance floor.
Do your photographers roam the whole party?
Yes. SLP Media does roaming event photography, so the photographers move through the whole venue instead of staying parked at the backdrop. We're high energy: we hype up groups, pull people into shots and keep the room going. Before the party we plan coverage with the social chair, down to where the big moments happen, so no part of the night is left out.
Can we get lit photos at a backdrop?
Yes. Add the lighting package and we set up a posed backdrop station alongside the roaming coverage, with professional lights so a photo looks the same at the start of the night as at the end.
Can our letters go on the photos?
Yes. Every SLP Media package includes a custom branded photo template, a border or overlay that puts your fraternity or sorority letters, crest or logo on every photo a member or date saves, plus up to three lines of text, like the party theme, the date or the chapter name. Letters and crest go on when the chapter or its national office permits the artwork, and the SLP Media mark sits on the template too.
How much do date party photos cost?
Date party and formal photos are booked as an SLP Media package by guest count, and every package includes the SelfSearch AI gallery and a custom branded photo template. The prices are on my Greek life photo pricing, and a 50% deposit holds the date.

Do you film date parties and formals?
Yes, as Samuel Long Productions. Date parties and formals share one video package: four hours filmed from several angles, cut into a 30 to 60 second highlight reel plus the aerial footage, color graded with custom music. Prices are on my Greek life video pricing.
Does the film include the drone?
Yes. It's the one Greek package where I bring the drone. I'm an FAA Part 107 pilot, and when the weather and the location allow it, you get aerial footage with your reel.
Can you fly at a chapter house?
Every flight on Ole Miss property goes through UPD for approval, and many chapter houses sit on university property. I'm authorized to fly on campus and file the request myself, so tell me at least a week ahead. On a home football game day no drone can fly within 3 nautical miles of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium from an hour before the game until an hour after. Here's how the Ole Miss drone rules work.
Should we book photos, the film or both?
Book photos if you want a full library for members to share, and the film if you want a short reel for Instagram and TikTok. You can book both.
After the party
How do members and dates get their photos?
Members and dates get their photos on their phones through SelfSearch AI, SLP Media's facial recognition gallery. The chapter shares one private link. Each guest opens it in their phone's browser, takes one selfie and sees the photos they're in, with no app and no account. The gallery may ask for an email before the first download, and a QR sign-up at the door emails the link to each person who signs up.
How fast?
For photos, we plan delivery within 2 days of the event, or 3 days for Monday to Thursday events, and your quote gives the date. For the film, ask me about timing when you reach out.
Do you keep the selfies?
No. Members and dates agree before the camera opens, each selfie is matched once, only against your party's gallery, and SLP Media never saves it. SelfSearch AI is built in house by Samuel Long Productions, not a third-party photo app, with privacy designed in. Photos and face data are deleted 30 days after the gallery closes, once any print orders are filled, and anyone can ask to be left out of matching or for a photo to come down.
Can we keep the gallery private?
Yes. Anyone with the link can browse and download for free for a year, and the chapter can add a PIN if it wants the gallery private.
