What corporate event photography includes
Corporate event photos are booked as an SLP Media package. You get roaming photographers matched to your head count, the lighting package for posed photos if you want it, your logo on the photos attendees save, and the SelfSearch AI gallery, where each person finds the photos they're in with one selfie. There's one planning call before the event, and we plan delivery of the edited gallery within 2 days after it, or 3 days for Monday to Thursday events.
I plan the coverage, photograph the event and deliver the gallery myself. When an event needs more than one photographer, I add second shooters I hire and brief myself, and everyone works from the same plan. I also work in live broadcasting for the SEC Network as a technical director and replay operator, where one missed detail can cost you the moment, so I plan every shoot with that in mind.
How many photographers does a corporate event need?
At SLP Media it goes by head count. The one photographer package covers up to 100 guests for 1 hour. Over 100, two photographers cover up to 500 guests at one venue for 3 hours. Past 500, the full team brings four photographers for 4 hours, plus the lighting package. If part of the program runs in a second room, like a breakout session or a reception next door, add one more photographer.
How much does corporate event photography cost?
Corporate events book as SLP Media packages, sized by guest count with one, two or four photographers, and each one comes with the SelfSearch AI gallery and your logo on a custom branded photo template. The prices, extra hours, extra photographers and the lighting package are on the SLP Media packages page. A recap video is priced separately. For a quote, send me the date, the venue and a rough head count, and I usually reply within a day.
Conferences, keynotes and panels
As a conference photographer, I work from your run of show: the keynote, the panels, any award presentations and the networking in between. On the planning call, send me the schedule, the speakers and anyone else who has to be in the photos, and tell me when the big moments happen, so we're in position. Afterward, you'll have photos for the recap post, the company website and the promotion for next year's event.
SLP Media does roaming event photography. Between sessions we keep moving through the room for candids and the group shots on your list, instead of waiting at one spot. Every photographer works from one shared plan that covers the arrivals, the speeches and the crowd.
If the program runs long, we can stay, billed by the hour for each photographer. Send me the agenda, and the quote will show the hours, including any extra time you expect.
The photo at the top of this page is from a keynote I photographed in a full ballroom.
Banquets, award dinners and company parties
For an awards banquet or a company dinner, tell me when each award or toast happens and who is receiving it, so we're in position for the moment and for the group shot after. We stop for every group shot on your list, like the honorees or the whole team together.
At a company party, our photographers keep moving instead of staying at one backdrop, so coworkers across the room get photographed, not only the ones in line. Planning the company Christmas party? It has its own page: holiday party photos.
Do you bring a photo booth?
No. For posed photos we set up the lighting package instead: professional lights at your backdrop or a spot we pick together, with a photographer running it, so a group photo late in the evening matches one from the start. The full team package includes it, and it's an add-on for the one and two photographer packages. With two or more photographers, the others keep moving through the room.
Your logo and the selfie gallery
Attendees get their photos through SelfSearch AI, SLP Media's facial recognition gallery. You share one private link. Each attendee opens it on their phone, takes a selfie and gets back the photos they're in. Nobody installs an app or makes an account. The gallery may ask for an email before someone's first download.
A QR sign-up at the door emails the gallery link to each person who signs up. Downloads are free for anyone with the link, and the gallery stays up for a year.
If your HR or legal team asks how the selfies are handled, the short answer is below, and my event photographer answers have more privacy detail.
Can our company or conference logo go on the photos?
Yes. It comes with every SLP Media package as a custom branded photo template: your company logo on a border or overlay next to the SLP Media mark, with room for up to three lines of text such as the conference name, the date or the theme. It's on every photo an attendee saves from the gallery.
Is the selfie gallery private for our attendees?
Yes. Attendees agree before the camera opens, each selfie is matched once against your event's gallery only, and SLP Media never saves it. Samuel Long Productions built SelfSearch AI in house, so it isn't a third-party photo app. The gallery lives on one private link that search engines don't list, and you can add a PIN of 4 to 8 digits. Anyone can ask to be left out of matching or for a photo to come down. Thirty days after the gallery closes, once any print orders are filled, the photos and face data are deleted.
When do we get the photos after a corporate event?
We plan delivery of the edited gallery within 2 days of the event, or within 3 days if it falls Monday to Thursday. Your quote gives the exact date. Anyone with the link can download for free for a year, and afterward you get a summary with the numbers from your gallery.
Recap video and drone
The photos come from SLP Media, and the video comes from me, as Samuel Long Productions, so both fit in one booking. For a promo or a brand film about the company itself, see my commercial video work, from a 30 second promo up to a 2 minute brand film.
Drone aerials are an add-on to SLP Media event coverage. Rain and strong wind ground a drone, so drone work is always weather permitting. At an event the rest of the coverage goes on, and the aerials are the part we lose.
Can you film a recap video or add drone shots?
Yes. I shoot recap films myself as Samuel Long Productions, so a video of the conference or the party can go in the same booking as the photos, quoted on its own. I'm an FAA Part 107 pilot and fly only where the airspace and the venue allow it, never over the crowd. Near the Jackson airports I request FAA authorization first, and on Ole Miss property every flight goes through UPD for approval; I'm authorized to fly on campus and file the request myself. For either, I generally need at least a week's notice.
Planning and booking
One planning call covers the rooms, the schedule, the head count and the photos you need most. A 50% deposit, invoiced when you book, holds the date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. Every SLP Media booking, corporate events included, goes through this site.
Book as soon as you have the date, since two or four photographers all have to be free the same day.
If the head count changes after you book, tell me as soon as you know, and I'll send an updated quote. Adding a photographer depends on who is free that date.
Corporate events in Oxford and Jackson, MS
In Oxford, SLP Media works in town, on the Ole Miss campus and across Lafayette County, at venues such as the Oxford Conference Center, The Inn at Ole Miss, The Jefferson and The Powerhouse.
Around Jackson, MS, the team covers Jackson, Madison, Ridgeland, Flowood and Brandon, at venues such as The Westin Jackson, the Mississippi Trade Mart, The Country Club of Jackson and Duling Hall. For a room we haven't worked in yet, we scout it or ask you for photos of it. Travel beyond about 30 miles of Oxford or Jackson is quoted. Send me your date and venue and I'll reply with availability and a quote.
One Oxford note for drone aerials: on home football game days no drone can fly within 3 nautical miles of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium from an hour before the game to an hour after. My guide to flying a drone at Ole Miss has the details.
Do you photograph corporate events in Jackson, MS and Oxford?
Yes. I serve both Oxford and Madison, MS, so SLP Media covers Jackson, Madison, Ridgeland, Flowood and Brandon, as well as Oxford, the Ole Miss campus and Lafayette County. The rest of Mississippi works too, and travel beyond about 30 miles of Oxford or Jackson is quoted.
